Ms. Nana states – “My relationship with National Center of Surgery started 49 years ago and I’m as happy to go to the clinic as I was before. I started working at the clinic right after I finished university. Right away, I was appointed as a junior fellow-scientist and I remember I was very proud and felt immense responsibility. I don’t even know how my life would develop without the clinic. I clearly remember my first day at National Center of Surgery 49 years ago; I was personally greeted by Konstantine Eristavi, who the clinic is named after, and who was the director at that time. I met a monumental surgeon, a magnificent scientist and of course I was nervous. Mr. Konstantine was an amazing person, colleagues used to call him grandpa as a sign of affection. I studied at music school. I used to gladly play for the guests in my family. Generally, I have a musical family – my brothers are amazing singers. It might be surprising but it’s been exactly 10 years since I last played fortepiano, don’t know why… I’m not in the mood. I even wonder, was I even the one who worked on Chopin's notes? At the beginning of the interview, you asked me what I would change if I could go back in time. Maybe 18 years old Nana would want to be a theater major and enroll not at a medical institute but at the theater school. I very much love theater and gladly read all the information about actors to this day. I often attend theater performances. For me, an invitation to the theater performance is an invaluable gift.”
