The National Surgery Center is preparing to receive international accreditation

KTQ Accreditation - Collaboration for transparency and quality in hospitals

The National Center of Surgery is getting ready to be accredited internationally. Cooperation with a renowned German company, KTQ (Kooperation für Transparenz and Qualität am Krankenhaus), has been initiated for this purpose.

Acquiring the certificate from "KTQ-International" will confirm once more that the National Center of Surgery's level of service quality meets the highest international requirements.

In terms of organizing the issues and conducting trainings, the clinic has already begun the process of obtaining accreditation.

The initial trainings were held on January 27 and February 10, and work plans were signed.

As to the directive from Georgia's Ministry of Labor, Health, and Social Defense, medical institutes must now obtain international standards certification as of January 1, 2025.

The reforms aim to establish robust quality control measures, offer residents access to high-quality medical care, and implement worldwide standards.

The clinic must obtain international certification in order to take part in the universal health care program. To do this, an accrediting body that simultaneously satisfies the following requirements must be chosen: must hold the necessary certification and be a member of an international organization, such as the International Society for Quality in Health Care/External Evaluation Association (ISQua/ISQuaIEEA), must follow a well-established procedure for accrediting medical facilities in the US, Canada, or EU member states.

The National Center of Surgery is continuously developing and renewing itself. It attempts to set contemporary standards by implementing digital technology in diagnostics and by refining organizational and treatment processes.

 Wish you health!
