What is the patient's health condition after the surgery for removal of a fishbone from the liver?

A patient admitted to the National Center of Surgery complaining about general weakness.

He complained about the dull pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, had a high fever. On physical examination, the patient did not show the symptoms of acute abdomen, but the group of surgeons decided to do the abdominal cavity CT (computed tomography). The study was conducted with the CT machine Toshiba aquilion RXL, which is a leader in its class. The liver abscess has been found. It should be noted that the radiologist of the National Center of Surgery, Vasil Gergedava, noticed a foreign body in the abscess cavity.

An urgent surgery - laparotomy, draining of the abscess, was performed, the abdominal cavity was checked for hepatogastric fistula, and surgeons took a large piece of fish bone out of the abscess cavity. The surgery was performed by Gigo Pichkhaia and Shota Dzagania, surgeons of our clinic.

The postoperative period was characterized by a positive dynamic. The patient was discharged with an improved health condition.
