I have severe heartburn, severe chest pain, random belching, trouble swallowing, even if I chew thoroughly, I still have trouble swallowing, nausea and bowel movement problems. I really would like to put an end to these problems that bother me a lot either with treatment or operation. Thank you in advance for your attention.
Answer:

Greetings,
The esophageal diaphragm normally has a small opening (hiatus) through which your food tube (esophagus) passes on its way to connect to your stomach. Part of the stomach can push up through this opening and cause a hiatal hernia.
In most cases, a small hiatal hernia doesn't cause problems, and you may never know you have a hiatal hernia unless your doctor discovers by chance.
Per your statement, since you’re suffering from hiatal hernia, we, hereby, assume that you might have large hiatal hernia that causes complaints such as:

  • Heartburn;
  • Belching;
  • Chest pain;
  • Vomiting.

Self-care measures or medications can usually relieve these symptoms, although a very large hiatal hernia sometimes requires an operation.
