Qauestion:: My spouse has chronic prostatitis, underwent prostate exam, respective treatment, but in case of cold, the onset of gland inflammation occurs, followed by an enlarged prostate, frequent urination. What can he take even as a preventive measure. Respectfully.

Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate in men. It’s the most common disease in men aged 25-50. Chronic prostatitis is the most common type. In this case, symptoms appear and disappear within a few months' interval.  

Treatment primarily aims to control symptoms. In this case, antibacterial and antisteroidal anti-inflammation drugs are prescribed. Moreover, physio-procedure might be ordered. If complications develop, surgical treatment is ordered.
