On October 9, the National Center of Surgery held a seminar for physicians at the Paragraph Hotel Resort & Spa Shekvetili, Autograph Collection on the topic - „Use of digital positron emission tomography for the identification of oncological diseases; Methods of oncological disease treatment.”
The Director-General of the National Center of Surgery and the Chairman of the Center's Supervisory Board presented a welcoming statement during the conference's opening session. The following issues were brought to the medical community by the speakers within the framework of the scientific conference:
- Shorena Esiashvili - „Fascinating cases detected by digital positron-emission computed tomography (PHILIPS Vereos) - the gold standard for diagnosing oncological diseases”;
- Ana Godelashvili - „The importance of current radiation in the treatment of locally spread laryngeal tumors”;
- Irina Jobava - „Cervical Cancer Radiotherapy”;
- Lasha Goginashvili - „Brachytherapy in Prostate Cancer Treatment.”
The speakers presented fascinating medical cases to a group of 35 individuals in the hotel's conference hall, one of which demonstrated the significant role and usefulness of PET/CT research in the accurate diagnosis and treatment approaches for various oncological diseases.
The meeting made it apparent to the professionals that the PET/CT scan should be included in the list of major tests from the start of the oncology patient study. PET/CT identifies and determines the presence of the smallest oncological formations at the outset of the disease, making a diagnosis of oncological diseases without it a thing of the past.
So, if a tumor is suspected, any tests that will aid both the patient and the doctor in the early diagnosis of the disease should be scheduled.

During that time platelet count significantly decreased and only presented with small skin hemorrhages. In chemotherapy, platelet count sometimes increases or decreases, she simultaneously takes Revolade (50mg) on a daily basis and underwent platelet transfusion several times that had an only short-term effect.
