Out of various forms of anemia iron deficiency anemia is the most widespread.

Iron deficiency anemia is directly related to the lack of iron in the body. Iron is an important microelement for the body. It participates in oxygen transport, metabolism regulation and determines immunological resistance.

National Center of Surgery’s hematologist, doctor of medicine, Nino Chkhaidze suggests products that significantly reduce the risk of iron deficiency anemia development.

  • Lean Meat;
  • Pork and beef livers;
  • Fish, mollusks, oyster
  • Vegetables (particularly, red pepper, salad leaves, cabbage, cauliflower, beetroot
  • Out of fruits pineapple, grape and apple have the highest amount of iron;

It is recommended to consume milk and cheese in between the meals. You can eat vitamin c-rich products with food.”
